چکیده
Background/Aim. Phthalates are recognized as endocrine-disrupting compounds and extensively present in a variety of everyday products. Chronic exposure to phthalates is suspected be associated with range health disorders. The aim the study was examine abundance phthalate metabolites urine samples among adults Autonomous Province Vojvodina, Serbia, determine prevalence healthy individuals those metabolic disorders such obesity newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods. For purpose, first morning sample 308 participants screened for presence 10 metabolites: mono-ethyl (MEP), mono-(2-ethylhexyl) (MEHP), mono-n-butyl (MBP), mono-iso-allyl (MiAP), mono-n-allyl (MnAP), mono-cyclohexyl (MCHP), mono-benzyl (MBzP), mono-n-octyl (MOP), mono-n-propyl (MPP) mono-methyl (MMP). Results. At least one metabolite detected 50.32% examined population. most frequently were MEP MEHP. Out all phthalate-positive participants, 38.3% them had one, 10.7% two, while 1.3% three sample. A significant difference (p < 0.05) between groups observed on MMP frequency, border-line 0.1) MEHP MCHP frequency. Conclusion. In Vojvodina region, both T2DM predominantly exposed di-ethyl di-(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate since metabolites. Further re-search required order provide more details influence adverse effects.
